There was once a stone cutter who was dissatisfied with himself and with his position in life.

Coffe Prince...

Lately ive found myself hooked up to another television series on dvd! From Jewel in the Palace in 2006 to Prison Break in 2007 to Coffee Prince this year! I like the style of the Director and the concept of having a pretty lady being mistaken as a boy because of her hair and the way she moves. It's definitely a "feel good" type of movie... I was also fascinated on how Koreans dress and decorate their houses. The food seems soo delicious - or maybe the main actress made it seem to look like it. I believe the entire series will last for 17 episodes...and i'm still on the 5th episode... a loong way to go but I'm enjoying it. I can't wait to see Go Eun Chan (the female main cast) show off her true beauty wearing a girl's dress. I highly recommend this series to anyone who wants to be happy and wants to see beautiful sceneries in Korea. Enjoy!

i need a vacation...

adobo for life....

i dont know why i am so addicted in eating chicken adobo...is it the taste? the color? the texture? i don't know but eating chicken adobo for breakfast with matching sinangag (fried rice) is a really a jumpstart...hmmm...i remember eating adobo for three straight days now and i want it specifically for breakfast. IM NOT PREGNANT, no no! Of course not, its not part of the plan. But I really wonder why eating this kind of delicacy makes me go ga-ga over it. things you'll need:Salt / 1/4 soy sauces / 2 bay leaves (optional) / 1 tsp. crushed peppercorns /
1/2 cup vinegar / 3 to 4 lb chicken / 6 - 10 cloves crushed garlic /

steps: 1) Cut chicken into 3- to 4-inch pieces.
2)Combine chicken, garlic, peppercorns, bay leaves, vinegar, soy sauce and 1/2 c. water in a large pot.
3)Heat until boiling and stir frequently.4) Turn heat to medium and let simmer for about 30 minutes. Stir occasionally.5) Adjust flavor by adding more soy sauce or vinegar.6) Serve with steamed rice. (or fried rice!)

Money Matters

it's my rest day today. just stayed home...spent 4 hours in front of the computer and slept for 5 hours. Afternoon was spent reading a book my coach lend me entitled "Making Your Money Work" by Mr. Colayco. It discusses something about saving early if you want to retire early and investing in a mutual fund. Though I've finished reading the 250 page book from cover to cover - I still am not so sure on how to go about it. I dont mean na the book is not good....actually I've learned a lot! From investing, to saving and on having financial freedom. Maybe it's just that - trying to understand on how to invest on a mutual fund-without really having a background on accounting (or someone who doesnt care about compounding and debit credit stuff) is a pain in the ass. My brother Edwin discussed it to me at the hospital when we were waiting for the birth of my youngest nephew and he said that the resources are available - it's just so happen that only few people are aware that such investment exists. I hope government would be pro active in sharing this kind of money management to us Filipinos especially to us - regular employees so that we can expect a bountiful life in the future - debt free.



anyways, I drafted some of the things I want to achive this 2008 (money wise)


- to be able to save at least Php 5,000 / month from my monthly salary - if I continue doing this for a year, it will be accumulated to P60,000 multiplied by 10 years (max. no. of years I intend to work for others) would give me php 600,000. Not much but I think is enough to start my retirement easier for me.

-to be able to pay all my debts, well I only have 2 major debts right now - its bearable but I hope to finish paying for those this year. harinawa.

-i want to invest in a small business... a business that would make me busy and will give me extra income - a business that I would enjoy doing.

- i want to buy a laptop from my hard earned money got for reviewing sites. Hopefully I can buy one this April if I decided not to go to Singapore for our vacation trip. Whatever happens - I hope its God's will.

-and last but not the least, to be able to give God my tithes and offerings...It's been two years since I last went to Church. I want to revive back my faith in God through worship service and fellowship. I asked Jojo to look for a Church near our place. I want to serve God in whatever way I can. Hopefully, this year, I can give my time, money and energy back to Him.

I love Sunday!

i dont know why, but lately i feel i am sooo pressured with all the things that surrounds me... I feel Im spending 3/4 of my day infront of the computer...8 hours from work, and another 6 hours in my own pc ... blogging, surfing, reviewing.... i know I dont have to do that - i know i have a choice...but I can't help it. is there such a thing as being a computer addict? if there is, maybe i am one of them.



so today, since its my day off - i spent most of my time in front of my portable dvd and watched 3 movies in a row.... alvin and the chipmunks, the warlords and blade 5. I feel a lot better! Doing nothing but to relax, eat and watch a movie really made my day.









I have 5 pending tasks today - I can't relax all day unfortunately but those spare 10 hours of my day doing practically nothing makes me feel Im back to my old self again. maybe i shoud not overdo my online transactions...too much of anything is bad for the health (and sometimes takes away your drive to do something else worth doing...) i miss empoy

i miss my nephew emerson, nicknamed empoy, especially now that i saw his picture in my organizer. although he is a son of my not so favorite brother kuya elmer - i feel that there's a certain connection between us that surpasses all boundaries. empoy's mother abandoned him and left him with no one but his father who is jobless at that time who's only hope is the compassion and forgiveness of his mother ... why forgiveness? think of anything a son can do to make his mother angry - my kuya have done all of that. but still our mother, having a heart of a true Christian - forgave him inspite and despite of everything...
